This half-term Year 8 pupils are completing a project in RE in which they will identify the qualities of key religious or other leading figures and how they express their beliefs and values through their service to local, national and international communities.
They may choose to research any of the following people and present written and pictorial evidence to show how their beliefs and values can be recognised through their work and lifestyle choices.
- Mother Teresa
- Martin Luther King
- Nelson Mandela
- the Dalai Lama
- Mahatma Gandhi
- Malala Yousafzai
- Kailash Satyarthi
- another key figure agreed in advance with their teacher.
Details of the project can be found on the sheet below (which will be issued to all Year 8 pupils) and the due date for the project will be confirmed by each class teacher.
Pupils are not expected to copy and paste information about their chosen figure from books or the internet, with the exception of photographs, which need to be referenced with the website address from which it was taken.
