OUR VISION AND VALUES

Danesfield applies the teachings of Mark 12:41-44 ‘The Widow’s Gift’ throughout it’s ‘Every Child Will…’ culture and community

She out of her poverty, has put in everything she has (Mark 12:44),

For all members of Danesfield, no matter how large or small, every contribution is powerful

We are proud to be part of the wider family of Church of England schools. We have strong links to the Bath and Wells Diocese and our local churches, but also significantly as part of Beacon Education.

Our School motto is “Living and Learning Together”.

Our School offers a happy environment for children that aims to promote learning, hard work, initiative, self-discipline and responsibility, both within the School and the wider community. We value gentleness and humility; we appreciate good manners and we embrace traditional values. We respect individuality and the development of good character is regarded as highly as achievement.

Our vision has been developed by the children and Staff at Danesfield through our work on the fundamental Christian Values that we study each term. This provides a focus for our collective worship and guides our everyday thinking.

Our school vision has roots in the Christian story of “the widow's gift”. It means that we value each child’s individual strengths and talents; we expect them to offer everything in each daily activity; giving their best and trying their hardest, encouraging them to have the endurance to work through challenges.

For all members of Danesfield, no matter how large or small, every contribution is powerful
