Year 7 students have had a great start to the year in French mastering classroom language and basic introcductions with ease. We have now moved on to talk about what we have on our school bags with students beginning to get to grips with the complexities of masculine and feminine nouns as well as the varied spellings of French adjectives. We have been writing paragraphs in French using connectives and even started some translation work from French into English, a new skill which will be examined at GCSE from 2019. With a year of French behind them and several years of Spanish, students at Danesfield have many linguistic skills and are quickly picking up the nuances of the French language, well done year 7!
