Murderous Macbeth
A study of Shakespeare's play that can't be named on stage...
The dark and sinister nights of January are perfectly pitched for the study of Shakespeare's bloodthirsty tyrant - Macbeth. Pupils study sections of the play in detail and apply GCSE terminology in their analysis and discussion. Scenes are acted to gain a greater understanding of mood and emotion and a variety of tasks culminate in a written assessment discussing Macbeth's downfall from a noble and respected warrior to a walking terror.
