Contemporary Novel Study

Artemis Fowl

Pupils in Year 7 begin the year by studying a contemporary novel and focus on the author's crafting of characters, plot and setting. The novel Artemis Fowl is popular with boys and girls alike and encourages the pupils to question the traditional boundaries of protagonists and antagonists. It has also spawned many sequels, all of which are in the school library.
